Print, mezzotint. Sir John Hobart, 1st Earl of Buckinghamshire (1693-1736) (after Thomas Hudson) by John Faber the younger (Gravenhage 1684 – London 1756). Inscribed 'The Right Hon John Hobart Earl of Buckinghamshire, Captain of the Band of Pensioners, one of His Majesty's most hon'ble Privy Council and knight of the most Hon'ble Order of the Bath'. Black and gilt frame, mounted and glazed.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
