Full length standing figure dressed in the ermine-trimmed robes with sword on left side. Holds a paper in the left hand, right hand rests on desk. Coronet on table. Printed beneath the picture 'The Right Honourable Robert Lord Romney, President of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts Manufacturers and Commerce', 'J Reynolds Eques pinx', 'J Finlayson sculpt', 'Engraved from the original in the possession of the Society to whom the original is humbly inscribed', 'Published Oct 13th 1773. Sold by J Finlayson No. 8 Orange Street, Leicester Fields'. Black frame, gilt slip, mounted and glazed.
