Summary
Teapot lid. Part of a tea service by Pierre and Jean Verneuilh of Bordeaux, c.1781-7. Hard-paste porcelain. Circular cover with pointed gilt finial handle, gilt rope border, gilt dots and stars, on white ground. Marked with 'VV' in gilt.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
