Summary
Sugar basin. Part of tea service by Pierre and Jean Verneuilh of Bordeaux. Flared pot with 2 gilt ring handles at sides. 2 panels of multi-coloured flowers, gilt rope borders top and bottom, gilt dots and stars, gilt lines to rim and base, on white ground. Marked in gilt on base 'VV'.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
