Summary
Cover for vase. Clobbered ware. Octagonal domed cover. painted in underglaze blue. Kangxi period, c.1700. Later decorated with polychrome enamels in the early C19, probably in London. Blue, pink, gold and black flowers in vertical panels alternating red and white with blue borders. Ball finial decorated on lower halp with red on white, and on upper half in gilt.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
