Summary
Oil painting on panel, Epiphany (Triptych), Flemish School, with possible early 19th century additions - wings dated above donors, 1589. The central panel is depicting the Adoration of the Magi and the wings have the portraits of kneeling figures of a donor (left) and his wife (right) with a merchant's mark in the shields above their heads and inscribed with their ages, 34 and 28 respectively and each dated, 1589. The central panel bears the monogram: L. B. and would appear to be a different manner of painting from the wings.
Provenance

Marks and inscriptions
Recto: Inscribed bottom right in black: L:B Recto: Donor and donatrix, inscribed above, respectively: AETÆ: SUÆ . 34 and 28, each dated 1589. Merchant’s mark (?) above each [itself suspect, since women did not have merchants’ marks].
