Summary
Brass alms dish, the centre embossed with a design of the biblical scene of the return of the Exploration of Canaan showing the fertility of the land by bringing a bunch of grapes that has to be carried by two man (Numbers 13 and 14). Around the border is a foreign inscription, repeated lettering 'WISHNBIRAHWISHNBIRAH' etc. South German (Nuremburg), c.1600.
Provenance
previously used in various antiquarian displays circa 1880. Previous inventory number COT.M.101.
