Summary
Oil painting on panel, Saint Catherine of Alexandria (after Raphael) by Rebecca Dulcibella Ferrers Orpen, later Mrs Edward Dering (1830 – 1923), 1877. The original painting by Raphael is in the collection of the National Gallery, London. St Catherine, dressed in blue, stands in the foreground, her right arm held to her breast, her left arm holding a red cloak. She looks towards the left. There is a landscape in the background and above, a host of angels and the figure of Christ.

Acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1980
