Summary
Eight-day striking 'Vineyard' clock in ebonised, carved and moulded case, French, c. 1860. Movement with anchor escapement and locking plate striking. Alabaster dial, enamel chapters with gilt pressed surrounds and the same to the gilt centre. Dial signed 'Bright, Paris and Leamington'. Described in January 1995 by Cosby Fine Clocks, Marlborough, as an 'Oeil de Beouf clock'.
