One of a pair of oak chairs, probably Welsh, circa 1790. Each rectangular back with four vertical slats, above a solid plank seat with plain rails and under-seat brace, standing on square tapering legs joined by multiple stretchers.
Full description
The presence of a central brace to the underside of the seat is a feature seen on Welsh chairs of this type, as is the slight taper in the front legs.
