Summary
An oak press cupboard, English, circa 1640. The upper section with a pair of lozenge-carved doors either side of an arcaded panel carved with scrolls and centred with a stylised tree, below a repeating chain-like pattern on the frieze which is supported by baluster turned columns, the lower section with lunette frieze and a pair of large doors, of which the upper panels are arcaded, the lower panels lozenge-carved, standing on channelled stile feet, ivorine disc to lower door FERRERS.
