Ceramic, Staffordshire, George Washington (1732-1799), Staffordshire Pottery. Full-length Staffordshire figure of George Washington, standing, bare-headed. A tricorn hat in his left hand, a document in his right. Circular base.

Provenance

part of collection built up by Thomas Balston (d.1967). He wrote about the collection in Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Age, 1958.
