Ceramic, Staffordshire, King Charles I (1600-1649) and Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector (1599-1658) , Staffordshire Pottery. Two full-length Staffordshire figures of King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell. The King sitting, Cromwell standing, both in broad-brimmed plumed hats, short coats, breeches and high boots.

part of collection built up by Thomas Balston (d.1967). He wrote about the collection in Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Age, 1958.
