Ceramic, Staffordshire, The Maid of Athens: Teresa Macri, later Mrs James Black (1797-1875), Staffordshire Pottery. Full-length Staffordshire figure of The Maid of Athens, sitting, her legs to the left, above a clock face,with a handkerchief over her hair, a low-necked bodice, a long skirt with two flounces, and a long scarf over her right shoulder. Right hand holds a paper (the poem?) on her lap.
