Summary
Ceramic, Staffordshire, Jenny Lind (1820-1887), Staffordshire Pottery. Full-length Staffordshire figure of Jenny Lind as concert singer, standing bare-headed. Peaked bodice with one flounce and long skirt with broad trimmed at the bottom. Right hand holding reticule, hangs to her side; left hand at the peak of the bodice.
Provenance
part of collection built up by Thomas Balston (d.1967). He wrote about the collection in Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Age, 1958.
