Ceramic, Staffordshire, Richard Cobden MP (1804-1865), Staffordshire Pottery, Ful-length Staffordshire figure of Richard Cobden, sitting, a cornucopia against his right leg. MP 1841-65. He and John Bright were the principal agitators for the Repeal of the Corn Laws.

part of collection built up by Thomas Balston (d.1967). He wrote about the collection in Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Age, 1958.
