Ceramic, Staffordshire, Queen Victoria (1819-1901), Staffordshire Pottery. Full-length Staffordshire figure of Queen Victoria, standing crowned. Queen Victoria (1819-1901) succeeded to the throne in 1837 and married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg Gotha in 1840.
Provenance
part of collection built up by Thomas Balston (d.1967). He wrote about the collection in Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Age, 1958.
