Summary
Walnut 8 day longcase clock by Thomas Tompion and Edward Banger, London. The hood decorated with fretwork frieze and applied columns. The case and plinths feather banded in panels, veneered walnut onto oak. Steel hands and brass dial. 2 train and 5 pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack stricking. Latched plates and dial. Silvered chapter ring, with seconds dial, square calendar aperture and signed oval panel in matted dial centre.
