Summary
18th century 8 day 1/4 striking longcase clock. The movement by Thomas Stephens of London. Mahogany case, having a shaped top and on ogee bracket feet, mounted with brass embellishments on the top and at the head and base of the side columns, the hood with an arched glassed door, made by Stephen Henry of London circa 1780. 3 train 5 pillar movement with dead beat escapment and rack striking, the quarters on 8 bells, the hours on one. Brass breakarch dial with moon phase indication and maker's name in arch. Steel hands. Strike/silent lever at 3 o'clock.
