Summary
An oak and marquetry livery cupboard, English, circa 1640, carved overall with strap-work, the upper frieze carved with a spiraling convex motif below dentil detail, the central door and canted side panels inlaid with floral marquetry and the uprights with chevron parquetry, all flanked by bulbous columns, the frieze drawer centred with and flanked by small masks, on bulbous column supports joined by an undertier with dog-tooth inlay, some alterations.
