Summary
An oak and inlaid chest, English, circa 1620, with plank top and plain-panel sides, the front with three panels inset with a parquetry diamond design centred with a smaller diamond, the uprights with a parquetry chequer pattern enclosed by a carved dog-tooth edge, the upper frieze arcaded, the lower frieze with dog-tooth parquetry, the sides with punched decoration in the upper channel, on stile feet.
