Bookplate partially covering inscription "For Mr Kennett...". Library of Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) of Nocton, Lincolnshire. Manuscript initial on second front endleaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys], followed by collation note. Inscriptions on first front endleaf: [1] Mitchell's(?) note "Prynne [underlined] Histor Collect. Hen III"; late seventeenth-century(?) pricecode; [3] nineteenth-century price in pencil "1-5-0". Nineteenth-century pencilled note on second front endleaf: "B.3.". Binding: late seventeenth-century full calf over boards, double blind fillet frame with two additional double blind vertical rules near spine; double blind dotted lines along board edges; five raised bands; rebacked with remains of gilt title label adhered to spine; sewn on five thongs, laced-in. Repaired at Cambridge, 1955.
