Shelved and uniformly bound with '"The journal of a mission to the interior of Africa …" (London, 1815). Provenance: (1) Blind armorial centrepiece stamp of the Bagot family, with baron's coronet (2) Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Pencil note of front free endpaper in Norris's hand: Cat.I.3.e. Binding: Eighteenth-century sprinkled calf over boards on three recessed cords, blind armorial centrepiece with border double gilt fillet and roll tool on covers, remains of gilt roll tool on board edges, red and blue sprinkled edges, five quadruple gilt fillets to imitate spine bands with floral tools between them, red and olive-green leather spine labels with title "Park's Travels. Vol. I." Both hinges are splitting; volume number label is coming loose.
