Four entries handwritten in pencil under 'Baptisms and Confirmations'. Provenance: in ink on front flyleaf verso, inscription: 'Nina Simpson Xmas 1900'. Inserted between pages 70 and 71, 11 cm piece of paper with 'Mrs Ronald Upcher Saham Lodge Walton Station Q. E. R.' handwritten in pencil. Binding: Publisher's red cloth over boards, gilt fillets, star decorations and lettering. Red endpapers.
Provenance
Acquired by the National Trust in 1986 with the aid of bequests from E.L. Elliot, H. Ridler, D.E. Swiffen and Alice M. Weeks, grant-aid from the National Heritage Memorial Fund, the Countryside Commission and funds raised by the East Anglian Coast & Countryside Appeal, and an endowment from Mildred Cordeaux, a cousin of Thomas Upcher.
