Provenance: Armorial bookplate in each volume: The Right Honourable Wilmot Earl of Lisburne, in the Kingdom of Ireland [with motto: Non Revertar Nultus]. Binding: seventeenth?-century polished leather over boards on four raised cords, single gilt fillet on covers, single gilt fillet and starburst tool with a floral centre on spines, yellow painted edges, blue silk bookmarks to match the head -and tailbands. Gilt spine titles: Historiæ Augustæ scriptores … 1632. Silverfish grazing damage to the covers of vol. 1 (pt. 1) and vol. 3.
