[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys], continued "3 vol.". Lower pastedown of each vol. signed in eighteenth-century hand: "JC: Vos. Gecollationeert" [i.e. collated by one J. C. Vos]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf over boards with triple blind fillet border and corner fleurons; gilt pattern on board edges; five raised bands, gilt tooled spine with gilt title and volume number on leather labels; five supports laced in at slight angle; pastedown with stub and endleaves; red and blue sprinkled edges.
