Adhered to front flyleaf recto: bookplate with heraldic device 'John Fairfax Crowder'. Binding: full calf with single gilt fillet to form a border, gilt Greek key cover edge fillets, single gilt fillets on spine with gilt sunburst device and gilt lettering, marbled end papers, gilt edges.
