Blathwayt, Jan 22' [= Caroline Matilda Chadwick (nee Osack), mother of Laura Grace Blathwayt, wife of George William Wynter Blathwayt (1853-1934)]; contains eighteenth-century manuscript marginalia throughout, some corrections to text (p. 60, 71, 75, 80, 82) and others commentary (p. 445). Binding: eighteenth-century brown calf over boards retained for later rebinding; central mottled panel surrounded with blind tooled borders; blind tooled board edges; red sprinkled edges; newer spine with gold tooled floral design, '1742' tooled in gold at tail; brown leather spine labels with 'Q Mary and Q Anne' lettered in gold, second label with 'J. Ralph' missing.
