Bookseller's ink stamp on front free endpaper verso in each vol.: 'Brentano's, New York'. Binding: Early twentieth-century half calf, marbled paper over boards; five raised bands; gilt tooled spines; black morocco spine labels, gilt lettered: 'Letters of Mary, Queen of Scots 1[-3]' and 'Strickland'; gilt top edges; marbled endpapers; brown silk ribbon marker in each vol.
