Manuscript inscription on recto of front endleaf in hand of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742): "152. Plates". Binding: eighteenth-century full sprikled brown calf over boards; thin blind roll border; central panel of triple blind fillet, stylised floral roll, and fleurons at the corners. Gilt roll pattern on board edges. Five raised bands; gilt tooled spine with gilt title on red goatskin label. Endbands. Five supports laced in; comb pattern marbled pastedown and plain endleaf at both ends. Red sprinkled edges.
