Provenance: Former Dyrham Park shelfmarks on front pastedowns: 'E no-23' in volume 1 and 'E no-22' in volume 2. Binding: seventeenth-century dark brown heavily mottled leather over wooden boards; sewn on five raised bands (boards and cords visible in volume 2); gold tooling to board edges; gold tooling to spine; title 'La Sainte Bible' and volume number lettered in gold directly on spines.
