Contemporary paper tab pasted to upper pastedown inscribed: "165". Library of Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) of Nocton, Lincolnshire. Manuscript initial on front endleaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys]; with accompanying note by Mitchell: "The left sheet of Book θ [i.e. part 7] viz. [?]. p.97-100. wrong folded, or put after the Title page following p.96.". Contemporary paper slip at p.99 of part 8 marking location mentioned by Mitchell in endleaf note. Mitchell's manuscript code at foot of leaf: "δ½." [i.e. delta½ = Greek number 4½]. Manuscript inscription on lower endleaf: "L[?]".
