Damage to head of volume 1 at spine, and at head and tail of volume 2 at spine. Provenance: Each volume with former Dyrham shelfmark on front pastedown ('C no-1', 'C no-2', 'C no-3'); volume 2 with inscription in black ink on front pastedown 'm, m, mno, John Blath'. Binding: eighteenth-century brown mottled calf; sewn on five raised bands; green and white sewn endbands; decorative gold tooling to spine, with 'METAMOR D'OVIDE' and volume number in gold directly on spine.
