Acquired by the National Trust with other former Dyrham books in April 2022. Provenance: inscription in ink on flyleaf of each volume 'George William Blathwayt, 10th June 1783'; bookplates removed from front pastedown of each volume; additional inscription in ink on front pastedown of v. 4 'G. W. Blathwayt 1783' [= Rev. George William Blathwayt (1759-1806)]. Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled calf over boards; red and brown sprinkled edges; simple decorative gold tooling to spine; five raised bands; red leather spine label with 'Warton's Virgil' and volume number; green-gold ribbon marker.
