Binding: French red morocco, panelled with flat spine, two dark lettering-pieces 'Les arrests d'amour' and 'Editeur l'Abbé Lenglet'; horizontal flat bands, place and date of publication on green lettering-piece at foot of spine; bottom panel of spine repaired; green silk marker, gilt edges, medium combed marbled endleaves. Bound after 1742 (date of watermark on endleaves) in the typical style of the library of Chrétien-François II de Lamoignon (1735-1789) where many books were traditionally said to have been bound by Anguerrand.
