Binding: late eighteenth-century French straight-grained red morocco with a lozenge and dash fillet border; flat, hollow-backed spine lettered directly in italic; turn-in roll of eight repeating designs with vases, torches, flowers, shells, saws, bows, pan-pipes and arrows; green and white headbands, green silk marker, gilt edges, blue watered silk linings. Ascribed to Alexis-Pierre Bradel who succeeded Derome on his death in 1788.
