Manuscript inscription on fly-leaf facing title page: "Ship-money" [i.e. title note and catalogue entry for anonymous works, written by John Mitchell]. Manuscript numbers on front fly-leaf: "55" (in black ink) and "3s[?]" (in pencil). Binding: seventeenth-century full reversed calf over boards; sewn onto five raised bands; double blind fillet border and additional quarter double blind fillet running parallel to spine; gilt number 9 at head of spine, brown leather gilt title label 'Manus Iurid' and remnants of another leather label on spine.
