Binding: late eighteenth-century full red straight-grained morocco; double gilt fillet (thick and thin) to form an outer border; gilt-tooled spine, lettered direct: 'Propertius Burmanni'; single gilt fillet on board edges; gilt rolled on turn-ins; gilt textblock edges; grey endpapers; brown ribbon marker.
