Bibl. / Vindob / Vol. 1[-2]" [i.e. instruction to the binder as to the lettering on the spine label, possibly in Hearne's hand]; "Sc. 2471" and (vol. 1 only) "Pyx. N / b." [i.e. inventory numbers, possibly in Hearne's hand]. Manuscript price in pencil at head of vol. 1 front fly-leaf: "3-0-0" [the price Ellys paid?], altered from "3-3-0". Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf; sewn onto five sewing supports; five raised bands; double gilt fillet border; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spines, with stamp decoration within double fillet panels and roll pattern at head and tail; gilt title on brown leather label and gilt vol. number on spines; red sprinkled textblock edges. Rear board of vol. 1 and both boards of vol. 2 with water-staining.
