Manuscript capital letter or symbol on verso of title pages. Binding: eighteenth-century quarter-bound calf with blue paper over boards; sewn on two supports; gilt vol. number stamped on spines, remnants of manuscript title just visible; vol. 2 spine cracked at head; untrimmed edges.
