Binding: eighteenth-century full calf; sewn on three cords; five raised bands; double gilt fillet border with small gilt floral cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gilt title on brown leather label, gilt date and vol. number on spines (vol. 1 also with place of publication); red stained textblock edges.
