Provenance: manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "M. 22. Planches" [i.e. catalogue code and count of plates, written by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Pencil inscription on verso of front free endpaper: "Burge"[?]. Manuscript number (price?) at foot of title page: "VIIII lt" [i.e. 9 livres tournois?]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf; sewn on six raised bands; double and single blind fillet border; gold-tooled spine; gilt title on brown leather label on spine. Red textblock edges. Comb and swirl pattern marbled endpapers.
