2 v. : maps ; fol. Uniformly bound and shelved with Bellin's Le Neptune François (spine labels: 'Recueil des cartes François' and 'Tom. 3'). Occasional pencil calculations in margins of vol. 1. Provenance: manuscript inscription on front free endpaper of vol. 1: "W Lukin" [presumably Vice-Admiral William Lukin, later William Lukin Windham, (1768-1833)]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf; upper boards lettered direct (gilt-tooled): 'Service des vaisseaux de la republique Française'; upper board of vol. 2 bears traces of gilt-tooled "du Roi" underneath this lettering; boards of vol. 2 have had centrepiece covered over (traces of gilt centrepiece visible on upper board); blind rolled near joint edge and across corners; sewn onto seven raised cords; gilt fillets on spines; red spine labels: 'Recueil des cartes François' and 'Tom. 1[-2]'; red edges.
