[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. With manuscript marginal markings in ink and pencil throughout; occasional manuscript marginal annotations, e.g. pp. 5, 11. Binding: eighteenth-century full calf; sewn on three supports; five raised bands; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine with eight-pointed star stamps; gilt title on brown sheepskin label on spine. Red painted and burnished textblock edges.
