With a folded leaf of manuscript, dated Sunday 21 June 1840 and signed WB [William Beckford?] relating to various sale lots. Pencil price at end of volume 2/2/-. Provenance: with small bookplate of Henry Francis Redhead Yorke [i.e. Henry Francis Redhead York, R.N., K.C.B. (1842-1914)]. Binding: nineteenth-century full green morocco, sewn onto five raised bands; triple gold fillets on boards; gold-tooled on spine; marbled endpapers, gold edges. Spine title: Beckford's Vathek. Stamped on turn-ins: Bound by F. Bedford. Phasebox.
