Provenance: subscriber's copy: 'Late Sir Richard Ellys, four copies' in list of subscribers [i.e. Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Maittaire and Ellys were good friends; Maittaire's verses on Ellys are on p. 44-5, 69-71, 94, 103, 115-6, 118-19 and 122-4. Added in manuscript to the list of subscribers: "Mr. William Bowyer". Binding: nineteenth-century half-bound gold-tooled calf with brown nonpareil marbled paper over boards; gold-tooled spine; gilt title 'Maittaire's Senilia' on red goatskin label on spine.
