Shugborough [i.e. Thomas Anson, of Shugbrough (1695-1773)]; pasted over plate of former owner, possibly eighteenth-century early armorial bookplate of Richard Banner [Banner (b. 1696) of Little Aston Hall, sold library to Thomas Anson in about 1745]. Binding: eighteenth-century panelled calf; on five raised bands; gilt tooled spine; gilt lettered spine label; part missing.
