Les oeuvres. Being 196 prints of buildings, some of them very large". Worm holes at foot of rear plates through to pastedown. Provenance: manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "196. Plates, single & double" [collation note written by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf (front cover very worn along centre); sewn onto six supports; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine; gilt title on brown sheepskin label on spine: 'Nouveau bastimen'. Red sprinkled textblock edges.
