Binding: eighteenth-century Cambridge-style gold-panelled sprinkled and plain calf; sewn onto six cords; panel design on covers in different gilt roll patterns and floral cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine, with stamp within fillet panels and roll pattern at head and foot; gilt title on brown goatskin label on spine. Gilt textblock edges. Swirl-marbled endpapers.
