Manuscript numbers and notes in very small writing on rear endpapers. Binding: seventeenth-century full gold-tooled calf; sewn onto six sewing supports; double gilt fillet border mitred at the corners to a panel of double gilt fillets, the panel with gilt cornerpiece stamps, the border and the panel with small round gilt floral cornerpiece stamps; blind dotted roll pattern along board edges; double gilt fillets on spine; gilt title on brown goatskin label on spine; faint manuscript title at head of spine. Blue stained textblock edges, ink-splattered.
